What worked in legal marketing 5-10 years ago no longer works. Therefore, it’s important to be aware of the latest marketing strategies in the legal niche. A law firm marketing expert shares three law firm marketing strategies to help you get more cases.

Utilize Short Form Video: TikTok and Instagram Reels

If you haven’t noticed short-form video is one of the hottest marketing strategies out there right now for lawyers. More and more lawyers are flocking to the TikTok app and Instagram reels to create short-form video content that is educational and entertaining. Not only are they educating their clients but they’re also generating more cases and revenue for their law firm.

Have You Been Thinking About Creating Instagram Reels or Tik Toks?

I’ve created a “Reels for Lawyers” challenge. This is actually the second challenge that we’re doing (we did one last year).  Prior to the official launch, I’m going to be going hosting a 2-hour training on Reels. You will learn everything you need to know to create viral content, transitions, picking the right music, coming up with content ideas and so much more.

SEO Optimized Legal Blog Posts

I’m sure you’ve heard the saying before that content is king? Well, content still is king and Google rewards websites that post fresh, relevant content on an ongoing basis. Fresh, relevant content can be posted on your law firm website blog.

Advantages of SEO Optimized Blog Posts

Every time you post a blog to your website it counts as an additional page. What this means for you is you can get more page authority than your competition and when you have more page authority, you’re going to rank higher than your competition organically.

Let’s say your competitor only has 12 pages for their website and you have over 100 pages (because you have been consistently posting new blogs on an ongoing basis); well not only do you have the opportunity to rank organically for each of those blogs on page one of Google, but you also have a website now that’s more powerful and authoritative. Just make sure to put a call to action at the end of each blog so you can convert these website visitors into clients.

 Launching a Podcast

Because the legal industry has become very competitive over the years it is important to stand out in your respective practice areas. One way to do this is to launch a podcast because it will give you instant credibility.  It could help you sign on clients that are interviewing multiple attorneys. Also, it’s also going to provide your potential clients with the answers that they’re looking for which gives you more credibility.

Another advantage of a podcast is that podcasts rank high on Google. Remember when YouTube videos used to rank in their own section back in the day will now podcast will also rank in their own section if Google decides to show that feed at that time.

Podcasts also rank very high for SEO. So if you’re strategic about how you are titling your episodes and the SEO behind the scenes in terms of meta title and meta description you can strategically plan to dominate your niche over a period of time.
